We are the only guiding service in Tasmania that can take you shore fishing Arthur's Lake that is situated around the private property - Paradise Plains. This 6-mile area of great shore fishing includes a magnificent beach area ideal for a cool swim in the summer months. Fishing big red tags in amongst the dead tree bays all along the shoreline has to be experienced to be believed.
When the gum beetles fall out of the trees into the water, guess who's waiting with their mouths wide open? This huge advantage ensures you can fish all day without seeing another shore based fisherman, you can always find a bay that's fishable, regardless of the conditions, and the wildlife in the area, including deer, wombats, rabbits, kangaroo's, possums, eagles and many other birds keep a close eye on your progress.
As we have a number of accommodation options on this property,
nighttime fishing is available. Imagine slowly fishing a floating
mudeye pattern in virtually darkness and bang, a hook up. Arthur's
Lake wild brown trout love mudeyes and when they strike with massive
force and purpose out of the darkness, the adrenalin rush is huge.
This experience will test both your senses and your fishing skills. An experience very hard to forget.
From our base at Paradise Plains we are well equipped to take
advantage of the prevailing conditions and access close by lakes such as Wood
Lake and Little Lake. Both waters have excellent fly-fishing opportunities
and are not fished heavily given there somewhat difficulty to access.
